This minor offers an overview of the various fundamental aspects that reveal the nature and function of the English language in the English speaking world. It seeks to develop an awareness of the richness of the language itself by examining its lexico-grammatical and discoursal features and by establishing the appropiate links between the language and its culture. The minor also offers to consolidate a proficient linguistic and pragmatic competence in the English language and to raise an awareness of its increasing use as an international language.
To develop an appreciation and a critical understanding of the nature and function of the English language and of its role as vehicle of the culture it communicates.
Los estudiantes deben mostrar al menos un nivel ALTE3 de competencia en este idioma.
El alumno deberá aprobar 50 créditos distribuidos de acuerdo a lo siguiente:
1. 20 créditos de cursos mínimos: LET1714; LET1715.
2. 30 créditos de cursos optativos, elegibles de un listado de cursos.

* Los alumnos que realicen este Minor podrán solicitar sobrepaso para inscribir estos cursos de la secuencia curricular habiendo aprobado el nivel ALTE3.
** Desde admisión 2014: Los alumnos de la Licenciatura en Artes y Humanidades que hayan aprobado este curso como Mínimo Disciplinario de Letras, deberán optar por otro curso de la lista.
